HOW TO TAKE YOUR SUPPLEMENTS each day (starting today/when they arrive)
First thing in the morning:
Add to a small glass of water: b12, iodine, & activated charcoal powder (take capsules, or use powder, for dosage see below), alongside/with this you can also take your herbs (this includes anti parasite herbs) - any capsules, tinctures & powders.
Next, when you feel ready, move onto your 750ml-1L of lemon water, and during this time you can take oregano oil (2-3 drops), which you can dilute into a glass taken out of your lemon water.
When you feel you’re ready, begin drinking your juice, and then move onto fruit mono meals, or a smoothie when desired. From there, continue your day of eating salads/dinner as per what you feel is best for you.
B12 and iodine are both water soluble vitamins so can be absorbed by the body in an empty system with no issues, hence why the morning is the best time.
I’ll mention here that it’s important to take B12 supplements before eating foods that contain b12 analogues - b12 analogues are molecules that are very similar to B12, but they’re not usable by the body, and they block B12 receptor sites and inhibit B12 absorption (for a few hours after eating).
Foods like spirulina, seaweeds, miso, and others, contain these compounds. These foods are great to eat, but make sure you take your b12 supplement some time in the day before eating any of these foods - hence, when taking it in the morning, you can’t go wrong!
Iodine/Lugols/potassium iodide
You’ll need to use the calculator (very simple) on the website link below to determine how many drops to take each day. This is because each potassium iodide formula comes in different % strengths. You simply need to check what percentage your iodine formula is (says on the bottle), and use the calculator to determine how many drops you should take.
In the first box, add the % strength of your formula, then increase or decrease the number of drops in the second box, until the third box shows a total mg number of between 12.5mg - 15mg. Ask me if you have any questions or if it isn't clear :)
Activated charcoal quantity.
Take 1000mg (capsule form) or ½ tsp (powder form) each morning.
DHA/EPA OMEGA 3
DHA & EPA are fat soluble nutrients, so ideally should be taken alongside meals, as the absorption rate will be higher. This can be with lunch or dinner. Further into the course when we’re doing all fruit days or different forms of fasting, you won’t need to take the DHA/EPA supplement on those days.
Herbs
Herbs in tincture or capsule form are best taken in the morning at the same time as b12/iodine, and then again in the afternoon with water - some time between lunch and dinner.
For teas, they can be drunk in the morning (this can contribute to part of your “1L of lemon water” if you add lemon to your tea), you can also drink them in the afternoon/evenings - any, or all of these timings, however you prefer, you can’t really overdo it with herbal tea!
Now, MY favourite way to use dried herbs is as an infusion. The process for this is as follows:
Add 2-3 tbsps dried herbs to 1L of water, mix/shake well, cover, and leave to infuse outside of the fridge overnight. Strain & drink in the morning, or leave in the fridge until later in the day. You can use this infusion preparation as a substitute for your 1L of lemon water on some days too.
(if you have many different dried herbs, you can use an infusion of all of them together, but bear in mind, some of the anti parasite herbs don’t taste the best).
Burdock root (dried or fresh) can be boiled in water for 45 minutes to maximise the extraction of its medicinal properties, and you can store it in the fridge for 2-3 days if you want to make a larger batch.
Oregano oil you may take another 2-3 drops in the afternoon (in water) with your 2nd dose of herbs, or evening, 2-3 hours after dinner. This 2nd dose will be helpful for anyone with candida/bacterial imbalance in the intestines.
Bentonite clay and diatomaceous earth can be taken in the afternoon 2 hours after eating lunch, and at least 1 hour before eating anything else. Take 1/2 tbsp of either of these in a glass of water. They are both anti-parasitic, as well as good sources of silica, which can help with hair & nail growth.
